Citizen Science Training for TEKFINDIK Cooperative Workers within the easyPEST Project

Within the scope of the easyPEST Project, a Citizen Science Training was organised for the workers of the TEKFINDIK Women’s Initiative Production and Business Cooperative.

The training was delivered by Prof. Dr. Selim Süalp Çağlar and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kahraman İpekdal from the Department of Biology at Hacettepe University. The training covered biodiversity and nature conservation, identification of harmful and invasive insect species, impacts of climate change on agriculture and ecosystems, nature observation and data sharing, and participation in scientific observation activities.

 Through the citizen science approach, participants were encouraged to contribute to scientific knowledge and biodiversity conservation through their observations in nature.
